Hallstone and Rolawn 'Wear it Pink' to raise funds for Breast Cancer Campaign


The staff at Hallstone and sister company Rolawn were tickled pink on Friday 25th October, raising a grand total of £186.30 for the charity Breast Cancer Campaign.

The Hallstone & Rolawn team donned their best pink attire to show their support for the event; a raffle and 'Guess the Cupcake' game got the ball rolling and four members of the team baked cakes to sell that Mary Berry would be proud of!

Despite recent advances, breast cancer is still the most common cancer in the UK. Every year it claims the lives of 12,000 women, and 50,000 more are diagnosed. Most (8 out of 10) are over 50, but younger women and in rare cases, men, can also develop breast cancer.

Campaigns such as the 'Wear it Pink' day are vital to fund new research. Last year £2.1 million was raised by Breast Cancer Campaign's Wear it Pink supporters and this money is already funding world-class research across the UK and Ireland that saves lives.
